A supportive queer collective founded in 2015, Nestam organizes film screenings, workshops, marches, and social get-togethers in Vizag. They provide a safe space for queer individuals to connect and grow.

Sappho for Equality

Based in Kolkata, Sappho offers peer counselling, a helpline, workshops, and a drop‑in centre for lesbian, bisexual, and transmasculine individuals. They also host the popular annual Dialogues LGBT film festival and run a safe space canteen called Porshi.

Naz Foundation

The org behind the landmark Section 377 case. They now provide health services, legal support, and advocacy.

The Humsafar Trust

One of the oldest LGBTQ+ organisations in India, Humsafar has been around since the ’90s offering legal support, health services, and community programs—especially for queer and trans folks dealing with workplace or police-related issues.

Sweekar: The Rainbow Parents

A growing support group of and for parents of LGBTQIA+ children to advise and guide each other, stay updated about the latest news and developments, and offer peer-counselling and help other parents who are struggling to accept their LGBTQIA+ children.

Yaariyan & Umang (Mumbai)

Lakshya Trust (Gujarat & National)

Founded by Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil in 2000, Lakshya Trust offers HIV education, sexual health clinics, counselling, and STI care across Gujarat; with drop-in centres in Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, and a unique safe-space campus in Rajpipla.

The Alternative Story (Bengaluru & Online)

This Bengaluru-based mental health collective is feminist, caste-conscious and queer-inclusive. With “pay-what-you-can” therapy, online options, and support groups, their aim is to make mental health resources accessible to for marginalised folks.
